You can bring home the second season of a popular crime-solving series on DVD this fall. Castle: The Complete Second Season will be released on DVD on September 21. This five-disc set will contain all 24 episodes of this latest season and the set will be priced at $45.99 SRP. You can also take a look at the cover art and special features below. Dreamworks Animation has released the first images from Flushed Away, a computer-animated comedy that will be released nationwide on November 3. Surprisingly, there has been no live-action Barbie movie made before the 2020s. That has been announced to change with the upcoming Barbie movie from Warner Bros., which has been scheduled for a 2023 release. The announcement was met with a positive response that indicated major viewer interest. While there has been over 30 Barbie computer-animated films made in the past two decades, they obviously had a much more limited audience....

The Good These movies were very faithful big screen adaptations of the TV show. The Bad I am not too sure that I understand why this one disc, two movie set was released. The Addams Family/Addams Family Values is a one disc release that showcases both The Addams Family and Addams Family Values. These are two films that expanded on what the cartoon and the TV show tried to do. In the first Addams Family, the wonderful cast featuring Raul Julia, Anjelica Huston, Christopher Lloyd and Christina Ricci basically chewed the scenery as they tried to stop a plot to take Gomez’s fortunes....

According to Variety, CBS has greenlit production on the pilot Mike Birbiglia’s Secret Public Journal, a half-hour comedy that began life in 2006 as an NBC project. The former Late Night with Conan O’Brien scribe Andrew Secunda co-created the project with Birbiglia, a stand-up comic who will also star in the pilot. Secunda wrote the pilot script. The upcoming American romantic comedy film, Barbie, has become increasingly anticipated among film analysts and long-time fans alike. BBC America, Carnival Films - the Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning producers of Downton Abbey - and BBC Two announced today that production will begin this fall on The Last Kingdom, a new historical 8 x 60 drama series. BAFTA nominated and RTS award-winning writer Stephen Butchard, (Good Cop, Five Daughters, House of Saddam), will adapt Bernard Cornwell’s best-selling franchise “The Saxon Stories” for the screen. Cornwell is also known for his much-loved “Sharpe” novels that became the long-running TV series of the same name starring Sean Bean and aired on BBC America....

After all these years, horror fans are finally getting a sequel to Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon as a new short film titled Wait for It. For horror fans, finding quality TV shows can be a quest. Often, some of the more popular ones go on for too long and drop quite a bit in quality, like Supernatural and The Walking Dead, while other the series are cut too short through cancellation like The Exorcist — the movies on which its based are set to be rebooted — and Outcast. Sometimes, a fantastic horror series like Tales from the Crypt comes along and due to rights issues, never finds its way to a streaming platform....

CBS has given a full season order to new comedy series Young Sheldon, which premiered Monday night, Sept. 25. Young Sheldon was the most watched comedy premiere on any network since 2011, averaging 17.21 million viewers, and 3.8 in adults 18-49, the highest rating for any new comedy since 2013. In addition, it retained 98% of its The Big Bang Theory viewer lead-in, 93% in adults 18-49 and 95% in adults 25-54, the best retention percentages for any new comedy following an original episode of The Big Bang Theory....
