Blu-ray DVD is here and it’s arrival is a tad smoother than that of HD. Sort of. In a story from Variety, there were no delays in getting the seven Blu-ray titles into stores as planned. The biggest stumbling block is that the machines to play the movies won’t be available until next week. This contrasts a bit with HD-DVD. When those titles were brought to market Warner Bros. and Universal were only able to get three of the four released on time....
The Good The procedural nature of this show mixed with the acting chops of the leads makes this show extremely entertaining. The Bad It gets a little tough seeing cases that can’t be solved constantly get solved. The chemistry between FBI Special Agent Seely Booth (David Boreanaz) and Dr. Temperance ‘Bones’ Brennan (Emily Deschanel) plays out very strongly in Bones: Season 2. These two characters set about solving some of the toughest cases on the dockets....
Resolutions? Whoop-doo! Mice? Boo! They’re like mice. They’re nasty little creatures. They eat well-hidden grocery snacks. And they shit everywhere. I’ve had a rodent infestation problem for quite sometime. Although The Tale of Despereaux glorifies mice as cute and good-natured, Kate DiCamillo’s family film has done little to sway my conscience. I’ve still gone about the house planting peanut butter covered Victor mousetraps in every quiet corner with the hopes of hunting them down and exterminating their entire family....

CBS has given a seven-episode pickup for Jay Mohr’s comedy Gary Unmarried, while the network’s Worst Week and NBC’s Medium also scored some good news late Friday, according to Variety. CBS ordered two additional scripts for the Jay Mohr comedy on top of the seven episodes (and its previous 13-episode order) for what’s being called a “virtual back nine” pickup. Fellow frosh laffer Worst Week got three more segments – a sign the network still believes in the show despite its so-so ratings....
