Bill Murray’s MCU debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was a piece of casting that snuck under the radar for the early part of the movie’s development. Once announced, by Murray himself, there were still few details about his supposed antagonist role available. Now director Peyton Reed has teased a “crucial role” for Murray that fits with the movie’s overall theme. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Reed explained: Of course, while Murray is something of a low-level antagonist in Quantumania, the main attraction in the movie is the first real look at Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, and of course, MODOK is also in the mix somewhere....

That’s a wrap on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. On Instagram, Jason Momoa shared a video announcing that filming has officially wrapped on the DC sequel after shooting for half a year. In the video, which you can watch below, Momoa also takes a moment to promote his eco-friendly shades with proceeds of the sales naturally going to Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii. “Alright, the last day’s in Hawaii, we’re wrapping up Aquaman,” says Jason Momoa in the video....

The CW has previewed the upcoming midseason premieres for three of its Arrowverse shows. Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow are all set to return in January with new episodes and all of the heroes are struggling in their own ways. The network has just released the synopses for the upcoming episodes and the DC heroes are going to have a lot on their plates when they return. In a story from Variety it seems that Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven, Richard Suckle and Steve Alexander have picked up the rights to make a live-action version of Voltron. Roven and Co. obtained the rights from World Events Productions; they had held them for over two decades. Voltron was a big TV hit in the 1980s that still has a strong fanbase. It follows five robot-lions who come together to form one super lion....

Avatar star and sci-fi pioneer Sigourney Weaver has been discussing her surprising role in the upcoming sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water, with a new image possibly offering further clues regarding her Na’vi character. Speaking with EW, Weaver described her role in Avatar: The Way of Water, which finds the 72-year-old actress starring as the adopted teenage daughter of Jake and Neytiri, as the “biggest stretch” she has ever undergone as a performer....

Band of Brothers was an incredible achievement by HBO; one that might’ve started the prestige TV era, proving that with good actors and scripts, episodic television can give more time and depth to all of its characters than a two-hour movie ever could. It’s one of the best HBO shows of all time, and one as ambitious as tricky, to the point that writer John Orloff admits they were worried if the disparity of points of view could work....

The Batman star Barry Keoghan has everything mapped out and ready to go for when he receives the call to return as The Joker for The Batman 2. Speaking with The New York Times, Keoghan revealed that he has already conceived of a backstory for his version of the Clown Prince of Crime, which he hopes will be something “fresh and unique” for audiences. While this latest iteration of the iconic DC supervillain only appeared for a few moments in The Batman, a deleted scene gives us a pretty detailed look at Keoghan’s Joker....

Recently, it was announced that The CW had canceled Batwoman after a three-season run, disappointing the fans who had been campaigning for a renewal. Black Forest Film Group is planning to develop Quarantine: The Loners after picking up feature rights for the project. The film is an adaptation of a Lex Hrabe and Thomas Voorhies novel, who are also writing the screenplay together. The novel is the first book of a trilogy being released this July. The film is an action-thriller that follows the outbreak of a virus that is deadly to anyone after puberty....

It seems that Blu-Ray may be getting more recognition from the consumer base, but that doesn’t mean that they’re all buying. According to Video Business, a new survey released from the NPD Group states that 45% of HDTV owners are aware of the Blu-Ray format. That number is up from just 35% of HDTV viewers surveyed last June. On the down side, only 6% of all respondants to the survey stated they would be purchasing a Blu-Ray player within the next six months....
