ABC is working out a series adaptation of the 2002 romantic comedy Maid in Manhattan, which starred Jennifer Lopez. The new series will be scripted by Chad Hodge and executive produced by Lopez, Joe Roth and Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the hourlong dramedy is not a remake of the hit feature, which centered on Marisa Ventura (Lopez), a struggling single mother from the Bronx who works as a maid at a swanky Manhattan hotel, where a rising politician guest (Ralph Fiennes) falls for her after mistaking her for a wealthy socialite....

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts hosts live television coverage of the final championship rounds of The 2007 Scripps National Spelling Bee, THURSDAY, MAY 31 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), live from Washington, DC. Preliminary championship rounds will air live earlier in the day on ESPN, which has televised the Bee in its entirety since 1994; the ESPN broadcast is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., ET. Robin Roberts is an especially fitting host for the Bee, as she helmed the first telecast on ESPN in 1994, and then returned in 2006 to host the Bee’s first foray into primetime on ABC....

Last night, auditions ended for the sixth season of American Idol and the judges’ Top 24 semifinalists were revealed. Next week, the 24 contestants will be split into two groups - 12 males and 12 females - who will each perform a song of his or her choice for America. The fate of these 24 contestants - one of whom will be the next American Idol - now rests in the viewers’ hands....

Star Wars series Andor’s first trailer has arrived to bring look at the much anticipated prequel series to Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Diego Luna returns to the Star Wars franchise to reprise his Rogue One role as Cassian Andor in a story that will start five years before the events of the popular movie. In the show, Andor is a thief who becomes a spy in the early days of the Rebellion against the Galactic Empire....

Anton Yelchin is in talks to portray post-apocalyptic warrior Kyle Reese in director McG’s Terminator 4. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Yelchin will play a teen version of Reese, the man who fathered world savior John Connor in the original “Terminator” film. Christian Bale will play John Connor in the time-traveling third sequel to the 1984 sci-fi action film, produced by the Halcyon Co. and set for a Warner Bros. release in summer 2009....

Of course, The Boys is ultimately what elevated his career to new heights. Now, fans have made it known that Starr is their casting choice for Wolverine in the MCU.
