Fans are sure to fall deep into a mind-bending mystery when 1899 arrives on Netflix later next month. The series comes from Baran bo Odar and Jantje Friese, the duo behind the acclaimed series Dark. The new series follows a group of multinational immigrants traveling from Europe to New York who encounter a second ship adrift in the open sea, opening a twisted mystery. Netflix released a brand-new poster for the series earlier today, giving fans a glimpse at a lead character and hinting toward the basis of the puzzle fans will solve....

Showtime has provided us with two brand new clips from the upcoming Dexter episode, Lost Boys, which will air on Sunday, November 29 at 9 PM ET only on Showtime. American Cinema Editors (ACE) today announced nominations for the 62nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards recognizing outstanding editing in nine categories of film, television and documentaries. Winners will be revealed during ACE’s 62nd annual black-tie awards ceremony on Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. As previously announced, the ceremony will be hosted by actor/comedian Patton Oswalt. A major motion picture about the notorious Zodiac Killer, who terrorized the San Francisco Bay area starting in the late 1960s and has never been caught, will hit theaters in a few days. America’s Most Wanted, the nation’s top crime-fighting show, has long been involved in the hunt for The Zodiac. In a special episode airing Saturday, Feb. 24 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, America’s Most Wanted host John Walsh will examine the true story of the Zodiac murders, and lay out the clues that could finally lead to the elusive serial killer’s capture....

Apple has officially entered the phone business. In a story from CNN.com, the company has officially unveiled the iPhone and Apple TV. The iPhone is “controlled by touch, plays music, surfs the Internet and runs the Macintosh computer operating system.” According to CEO Steve Jobs the iPhone “will reinvent the telecommunications sector and leapfrog past the current generation of hard-to-use smart phones.” The iPhone uses a technology called “multi-touch.” “We’re going to use a pointing device that we’re all born with,” Jobs went on to say....

FXX wants more Archer. Partway through season 12, it’s just been reported that the network has put in the order for season 13 of the long-running animated comedy series. This is certainly great news for fans heading into the end of the season, which is scheduled to conclude on Oct. 6, as the future of the show wasn’t clear. Season 13 will consist of eight episodes with plans to premiere on FXX sometime in 2022....

The ensemble cast of Renfield continues to expand as it’s now been announced that Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog) has joined the project in a mystery role. Previously, it was revealed that Nicolas Cage (Pig) would play Count Dracula with Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) starring as the vampire’s henchman. Awkwafina (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) is also attached to the cast in an undisclosed part....

After finally getting a release date announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios Blade has hit a speed bump. The same day that it was reported Hugh Jackman would reprise his role as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, it was also reported that director Bassam Tariq has dropped out of directing Blade. Tariq was hired to direct Blade in September 2021, so he had been working on the project for over a year, and with the film set to begin production in November 2022, Marvel Studios will need to work hard to find a director fast if they want to keep the movie on track to meet the planned November 3, 2023 release date....
