The Breaking Bad spinoff series Better Call Saul had a great night at the Hollywood Critics Association Awards on Saturday. Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, Better Call Saul was among the biggest winners of the night by picking up four big wins. The Netflix streaming service announced in July that it has renewed the hit drama series Bloodline for a third season, but in September, it was also revealed that this upcoming season will be its last. The show’s final season episode order was cut from 13 episodes to 10, while licensing fees on the show were dramatically slashed. While it still remains unclear if the show’s creators will shop the series elsewhere, Netflix has released the first trailer and photos for Bloodline Season 3, which you can check out below....

Earlier today, Netflix held an event in New York City where they unveiled a number of sneak peeks from their upcoming shows, such as Orange is the New Black Season 5 and much more. Buried within these videos were other announcements for new shows, with the streaming service revealing that “Castlevania Season 1, Part 1” is coming to Netflix in 2017. While that certainly isn’t much to go on, it has since been confirmed that this is the same animated series that was essentially unveiled in December by Adventure Time producer Frank Seibert on the NickAnimation podcast....
Shudder and Paper Street Pictures announced the cast and director lineups for the sequel to the popular horror-comedy Scare Package were announced. The highly anticipated sequel Scare Package II: Rad Chad’s Revenge will stream exclusively on the AMC-owned service later this year. Co-created by Aaron B. Koontz and Cameron Burns, Scare Package II: Rad Chad’s Revenge “immediately follows the events of the original with the survivors attending the funeral of ‘Rad Chad’ Buckley, which quickly devolves into an elaborate series of death traps centered around Chad’s favorite films, forcing the guests to band together and use the rules of horror to survive the bloody game,” says the Shudder press release....
The parody biopic WEIRD: The Al Yankovic Story is now streaming on The Roku Channel where it’s free to watch for everyone. Critics and viewers alike seem to be enjoying the film for the most part, praising its humor along with the performance of lead star Daniel Radcliffe as the titular parodist. Many have questioned why the film couldn’t have been released in theaters rather than heading straight to streaming, feeling WEIRD was worthy of a run on the big screen....
Syfy is giving a series greenlight to 12 Monkeys, a drama based on the 1995 Universal Pictures film directed by Terry Gilliam, it was announced today by Syfy President, Dave Howe. Syfy is ordering 12 episodes in addition to the pilot which was filmed last year. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions and Atlas Entertainment, producer of the original theatrical. Legendary television producer Aaron Spelling, who launched a string of star-making global hits such as Dynasty, Charlie’s Angels and Beverly Hills, 90210, has died following a stroke. He was 83. “Mr. Spelling died at 6:25 pm this afternoon, he was in his home in Beverly Hills with his wife Candy and son Randy at his bedside. I don’t know if his daughter Tori was with him at this moment,” his publicist Kevin Sasaki said on Friday....
I just got off the phone with Adrienne King, who portrayed Alice in the original Friday The 13th, for the brand new Uncut Deluxe Edition DVD and Blu-ray, which hits the shelves on February 3.
