Ethan Hawke is a celebrated actor, writer, and director, and also father to Maya Hawke. He has been nominated for four Academy Awards, both for acting and writing. Working in genres including drama, romantic comedy, and horror, he has had an incredibly diverse career that spans indie movies on a small budget to major studio productions. Hawke’s first movie was Explorers, in which he starred alongside River Phoenix. A couple of years later, his big break came from his role as Todd Anderson in Dead Poets Society, which also featured Robin Williams and Robert Sean Leonard....

Cameras will very soon start rolling on the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul as series star Michael Mando has revealed he’s on his way to the set. Since the first season of the Breaking Bad prequel series, Mando has played Ignacio “Nacho” Varga, a character who first started out as an antagonist but has since become a fan favorite as a bit of an antihero. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Mando posted that he’s left Canada for the United States en route to the set of Better Call Saul....

Big Screen Entertainment Group has announced that it has optioned the screenplay Standing Down, written by Ron Zimmerman, whose long list of credits includes the television series 7th Heaven, Action and My Wife and Kids. Ron Perlman is attached to both star and executive produce. Perlman is well known for his film work, which includes Guillermo Del Toro’s Hellboy and the upcoming Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, Blade 2 and Star Trek: Nemesis....

Harrison Ford will replace William Hurt as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in Marvel’s Captain America: New World Order. The news has the internet buzzing, as rumors of the casting have been floating around for a while. At first, unconfirmed reports came from Los Angeles Magazine critic Jeff Sneider who reported it on The Hot Mic podcast. Word spread quickly, and after cycling through smaller media outlets, Deadline confirmed on Monday that Harrison Ford would be playing General Thunderbolt Ross, AKA the Red Hulk....

CBS announced today a multi-year broadcast renewal for the top-rated, critically acclaimed comedy The Big Bang Theory. The Big Bang Theory, which is TV’s most-watched comedy and the top-rated broadcast entertainment show among adults 18-49, has been renewed for an additional three years, extending it through the 2016-2017 season. Actor Channing Tatum will return to the world of action movies in Red Shirt, with Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train director David Leitch at the helm. Details of the project are being kept under wraps for now, but Red Shirt has been described (via Deadline) as “a new spin on James Bond” with the movie reportedly having major franchise potential. According to Variety, Arrested Development will wrap its third – and likely last – season on Fox next month with a two-hour swan song slated to air opposite the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Olympics. Fox has decided to package four episodes of Arrested and air them as a two-hour season finale from 8-10 p.m. on Friday, February 10th, replacing the net’s usual lineup of Malcolm in the Middle, Bernie Mac and Trading Spouses....
