After the resounding success of Top Gun: Maverick, director Joseph Kosinski was quick to seize his next project, a Formula 1 racing movie starring Brad Pitt in the lead. Apple is producing the film, currently going by the working title, Formula One. However, it will get a worldwide theatrical release before heading to streaming. And just like Top Gun: Maverick, Kosinski plans to keep things real (literally) and deliver more jaw-dropping thrills with Formula One, swapping fighter jets for race cars this time around....

Variety is reporting that the USA Network has handed out fifth and sixth season orders for the hit series Burn Notice, two months before Season 4 is set to air. With the recent 3D boom that is sweeping Hollywood, it seems that Marvel Studios isn’t keen on 3D conversions, but they are considering 3D for future film projects. The Los Angeles Times recently spoke to Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, who revealed that they will be using 3D in the near future. The site speculated that, while Thor is currently in production, it is possible that the studio’s next two film projects - Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers, both of which haven’t started filming yet, could be shot in 3D....

The Amy Winehouse biopic, Back to Black, has landed at Focus Features. It had previously been reported that a biopic about the late singer was in the works from Studiocanal with Marisa Abela (Industry) eyed to play Winehouse. Deadline now reports that Abela has been officially cast in the role with Focus Features and Monumental Pictures teaming up with Studiocanal to take on the project. FXX has set the premiere date for the 10th season of the Emmy Award-winning animated comedy series Archer, it was announced today by Chuck Saftler, President, Program Strategy and COO, FX Networks. Archer: 1999 will debut Wednesday, May 29 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FXX. FXX today also released the first trailer for Archer: 1999, which can be viewed here. Archer is an animated, half-hour comedy that follows Sterling Archer, Lana Kane, and their crew of acid-tongued misfits onboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship....

Last week, when a flyer of Lone Ranger actor Armie Hammer stating he was working as a hotel concierge was blasted across social media, the hotel told various media outlets the story was not true. Now, photos have surfaced of Hammer appearing to be dressed in uniform, working at the resort and one source told Variety that the actor is indeed working at the resort selling timeshares, and all other reports suggesting otherwise are inaccurate....
