Our first look at Ryan Gosling in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie movie has been released. Sporting a bleached-blonde hairstyle and surrounded by pink, Gosling sure does look a lot like Ken in the images, seemingly making him a perfect match for Margot Robbie’s Barbie. It’s the second official photo to be released from the film after a prior first look revealed Robbie as the live-action version of the titular Mattel doll....

Baz Luhrmann, the visionary auteur behind Moulin Rouge! and Australia, is gearing up to direct his next project, an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s acclaimed novel The Great Gatsby. According to Deadline, he recently work shopped the screenplay he wrote with Moulin Rouge!’s Craig Pearce, which saw Leonardo DiCaprio reading as Jay Gatsby and Tobey Maguire reading as Nick Carraway. No word yet if Judge Reinhold could return or other franchise favorites like John Ashton or Bronson Pinchot. This season goes back in time 15 years, to explain the origins of Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and his rage. The first season was set 20 years before Robert Louis Stevenson’s novel Treasure Island. During the panel, Toby Stephens himself revealed that this season will give fans more insight into Captain Flint....
The 30th anniversary of the original big screen outing of The Addams Family has brought out a few stories from cast, and recently it was Christina Ricci’s turn to reminisce about the movie that became her breakout role at the age of 11. Ricci, who played Wednesday Addams, revealed in an interview with Bloody Disgusting that her audition for the movie was film’s excessively bloody school play scene, and she was gleefully happy to say that it was one of the best things she has done in her entire career, while noting that it was very rare to allow children in movies to be so gruesome....
The format war is definitely heating up… According to CEPro.com, Digital Playground, one of the biggest distributors of adult entertainment, will release its first title in Blu-Ray, after going with HD DVD for the past year. “The advantage of HD DVD over Blu-ray is the cost factor, both in manufacturing and the players,” said Joone, the founder of Digital Playground. Celebrated comic book writer Brian K. Vaughan is on board to pen the script for a Buck Rogers television series courtesy of Legendary Entertainment.
