A new Star Trek-themed animated feature-length film, entitled Borg War, will have its theatrical debut at the Official STAR TREK Convention 2007, at the Las Vegas Hilton on Friday August 10th at 6:20 P.M. The city of Albuquerque has put up two of television’s most popular characters on display in honor of the hit show Breaking Bad filming in the area. In the AMC drama, which ran for five seasons from 2008 to 2013, Bryan Cranston portrayed Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who turns to cooking meth to provide for his family following a cancer diagnosis. To help him get ingratiated into the criminal underworld, Walter partners up with a Jesse Pinkman, a former student played by Aaron Paul....

AMC announced today that Breaking Bad, the Emmy Award-winning and critically lauded drama series from acclaimed writer/producer/director Vince Gilligan has been renewed for a 16 episode order that will conclude the series. Production on all episodes of the final order will commence in early 2012. The roll-out of the episodes and premiere date schedule has yet to be determined by the network. The announcement was made by Charlie Collier, president of AMC....

CBS announced, today, that most of its scripted and unscripted shows from the last year will return in the upcoming 2020-2021 programming season. Only four shows didn’t make the cut, being canceled by the network. CBS had already announced renewals for Young Sheldon, Mom, Evil, The Amazing Race and Survivor. With the announcement today, the net also picked up The Unicorn, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, Undercover Boss and news mags 48 Hours and 60 Minutes....

The Good Clive Owen shows why he’s every bit the movie star that he is with this role. The Bad Lack of extra features. Episodes aren’t as cleaned up as I had hoped they’d be. They gave me two of the same disc in this set so I didn’t get all the episodes! Clive Owen and the rest of the cast are excellent in Chancer: Complete Series 1. This 13 episode, 4 DVD set features Stephen Crane (Owen) as a slickster who can somehow make any situation fine simply by running it through the computer that is his brain....

A distant man tortured by an odd recurring dream seeks help from a bizarre psychiatrist. Chariot is a hollow and absurd exploration of the afterlife. What begins as an interesting metaphysical dilemma devolves into gimmicky theatrics that make no sense whatsoever. The film lurks around its premise like a stalking predator. Then turns into a toothless tiger when the hapless protagonist learns the bewildering truth. Chariot’s fleeting moments of dark humor don’t make up for a massively underwhelming climax; which left me confused and annoyed....
