While fans still wait to see what happens with the long-gestating Bad Boys movie sequel, producer Jerry Bruckheimer is bringing the franchise to the small screen, with a Bad Boys Spin-Off series. The series will focus on the Sydney “Syd” Burnett character, played by Gabrielle Union in the 2003 sequel Bad Boys II, although there is no indication on whether or not the main franchise stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence would return to reprise their roles as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett....

Yahoo! Movies has just made a new video clip of Extract available! However, what makes this really cool is that Mike Judge (the director of Extract), has his groundbreaking animated characters Beavis and Butt-Head introduce the clip! Watch it now… Ben Affleck will play an ambulance-chasing lawyer in the film, which centers on a flower extract factory owner (Jason Bateman) who’s dealing with workplace problems and a streak of bad luck, including his wife’s affair with a gigolo....

The news of Ray Liotta’s passing has left fans shocked and saddened. While in the Dominican Republic to work on his next movie, Dangerous Waters, Liotta reportedly passed away in his sleep at the age of 67. It’s unclear how much footage he had shot for that movie or what the plan had been for his role. Because Liotta had been working so frequently, however, he will be posthumously appearing in multiple upcoming projects....

Tenoch Huerta is set to play the iconic Marvel anti-hero Namor the Sub-Mariner in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, marking the character’s first big-screen appearance. Marvel has changed Namor’s comic book origins from the ruler of Atlantis to that of a fictional Mayan underwater civilization. However, one key attribute of Namor has been preserved. Namor is often considered Marvel Comics’ first mutant, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also retains that feature. Tenoch Huerta recently confirmed the same in an interview with Empire Magazine....

Zach McGowan (Shameless), Jessica Parker Kennedy (The Secret Circle, 50/50), Mark Ryan (Transformers, The Prestige), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (24, Hotel Rwanda) and Black Sails series creators Jonathan Steinberg (Jericho, Human Target) and Robert Levine (Touch) will lead the pirate uprising at Comic-Con 2013 on Thursday, July 18 with special appearances. Castlevania season 4 is a go at Netflix. The video game adaptation debuted its third season on the streaming service last month and has proved to be wildly popular, in addition to garnering a great deal of critical acclaim. That has paved the way for at least one more season, according to series producer and writer Warren Ellis. Taking to his blog, Warren Ellis revealed that Netflix has given the green light for Castlevania season 4....

Right on the heels of the triumphant success of Todd Field’s enthralling orchestral drama TÁR (2022), via a report from IndieWire, the director has officially disclosed that he is working on a new short film called The Fundraiser. Not only that, but the film will likely see leading star Cate Blanchett return once more as disgraced conductor Lydia Tár. In a conversation with IndieWire, the director teased that the short film is set in the same cinematic universe as TÁR and that audiences can anticipate seeing at least a few familiar faces returning for this mini-sequel....

David Duchovny and Tea Leoni’s banner And Then Prods. is teaming with CBS Films to adapt for the bigscreen the comedy spec Born to Rock from writers Jess Walter and Mark Steilen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the project revolves around a group of struggling, aging rock musicians who, because of a mixup in their demo tape, end up catching a record exec’s attention for a children’s song written on a lark, then find unlikely success as a Wiggles-type children’s band....

One great thing about sequels is that they provide a way to fix the mistakes of the first film. If a movie has some major plot hole in it that can’t be fixed using its own internal logic, the sequel can come in with a scene that explains away a logical inconsistency, a direct contradiction, or in some cases, a series of plot holes that stretches across an entire franchise. This kind of thing is essentially the movie franchise equivalent of using whiteout and then inking over it to fix a mistake....

While the actor appeared to have hung up the cape as Batman with the announcement of Robert Pattinson being cast as the superhero in The Batman, which took place apart from the DCU, the actor appears to have not totally given up on the franchise. He will have a cameo in the upcoming The Flash, and he did film a cameo for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, although it is currently unknown if his cameo is still in the finished film....
