Last year’s biopic, Elvis, has earned a plethora of awards and nominations, with the most recent being for several Oscar categories, including Best Picture and Best Actor. Lead actor Austin Butler spoke with The Hollywood Reporter about how grateful he was for the nomination, although he wishes Elvis Presley’s late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, was still here to celebrate: Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of legendary singer Elvis Presley, passed away suddenly a few weeks ago....

Last week we reported that a sequel to the 2001 film Zoolander was moving forward with Ben Stiller and Justin Theroux co-writing the script, and Theroux set to direct. Now MTV Movies Blog has spoken with Stiller, who confirmed that Zoolander 2 is happening. He offered some new details on the film. Here’s an excerpt from the site’s article: Stiller also revealed that his Derek Zoolander and Owen Wilson’s Hansel will have to fight their way back atop the fashion world....

On the Official Avatar Myspace Site, director Bryan Singer (X-Men) dropped a major announcement about one of his next projects. It appears that the director is headed back to the franchise he pioneered… X-Men: First Class is expected to inject a next-gen sensibility into the superhero series. - The studio has been leaning toward using the younger characters introduced in the previous films in future installments –teenagers with powers taught at the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning....

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will present a special screening of “The Line King: The Al Hirschfeld Story” (1996) on Saturday, January 21, at 2:30 p.m. in the Walter Reade Theater at the Film Society of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. Director Martin Scorsese is one of the most celebrated filmmakers of his generation. The Wet Bandits are now the least of Macaulay Culkin’s worries, as the Home Alone star is heading to American Horror Story for season 10. On Instagram, series creator Ryan Murphy recently unveiled an all-new teaser for the upcoming season of the popular FX horror series. Of course, the video clip doesn’t give us much, showing only a somber image of waves rolling in at a beach. However, it does reveal many of the cast members we can expect to see in season 10 by showcasing their names on the screen....

Britne Oldford, who starred in MTV’s controversial but short-lived series Skins, has signed on for a recurring role in Season 2 of American Horror Story. The actress will play Alma on Ryan Murphy’s horror series, although a character description was not released. It is believed that Alma will be one of the patients at the East Coast mental institution where this season is set. It isn’t known how many episodes she will appear in....

Amy Sedaris has struck a deal with 20th Century Fox TV to create, write and star in a comedy series project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sedaris will pen the script with her writing partner Paul Dinello, who also is attached to direct. The single-camera project will be co-produced by David Letterman’s Worldwide Pants, which has a first-look deal with Sedaris, a longtime friend of Letterman’s and a frequent guest on his Late Show on CBS....
