Giancarlo Esposito will be back for one more go as Gus Fring in the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, but the actor has an idea for how to continue the chicken-hocking drug lord’s story in another Breaking Bad prequel. Speaking about the iconic role in a recent interview with Esquire, Esposito opened up about his idea for a prequel called The Rise of Gus that would fill in the blanks of the character’s mysterious backstory....

Three decades later, Brendan Fraser is opening up on his role in the cult classic comedy Encino Man. Released in 1992, Encino Man was directed by Les Mayfield and penned by George Zaloom and Shawn Schepps. The film stars Fraser as a frozen caveman thawed out by two Californian teenagers (Sean Astin & Pauly Shore) who must then adapt to a new way of life in the 20th century. While reviews weren’t overly kind upon the film’s release, it has built up a strong following in subsequent years, resulting in a strong fan interest in seeing a sequel made for Disney+....

The James Bond franchise is the most successful series of films in cinema history. So, when it was announced that Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson were looking to revamp the franchise there were some areas of concern. The biggest shocker to hit the film industry was that Pierce Brosnan was out and that it was time for a new Bond. Rumors began circling like crazy. Actors like Clive Owen, Hugh Jackman, and a dozen more were rumored to be the next actor to fill the role....

CBS is producing two star-studded specials that will benefit the disadvantaged children of the world. According to The Hollywood Reporter, both of these specials will air in June. The first is entitled Listen Live. It will premier on June 6th and run for two hours. The program will feature live artistic events from the world of film, music, television, literature and the visual arts. The special will focus on the needs and rights of children affected by war, disease, exploitation, poverty and AIDS....

It has taken almost two decades to get Ewan McGregor back into the Star Wars franchise, but the actor is more than willing to come back in a more reasonable timeframe if the chance comes up. While Obi-Wan Kenobi will bridge the gap between the prequels and the original Star Wars, McGregor believes there could still be more to tell of the Jedi Master’s story. With the series set to arrive on Disney+ in two weeks, there is a strong sense that fans would be happy to see even more of Obi-Wan in future projects....

HBO Max has another big hit on their hands. After ending 2022 with the epic two punch of House of the Dragon and The White Lotus season two, they have begun strong with the already iconic Last of Us video game adaptation in 2023. This is already shaping up to become one of HBO Max’s signature tv shows. Maybe they should consider adapting another video game into a hit tv show now that they’ve proven they can do it right....

You can bring home a 1954 film in an impressive new DVD and Blu-ray set this coming June. A Star Is Born will be released in a new DVD and Blu-ray Deluxe Special Edition on June 22. The two-disc standard DVD will be priced at $20.97 SRP and the two-disc Blu-ray will be priced at $34.99 SRP. This set will also come with a 40-page book full of photos and history of the film as well....

Within the Star Wars universe, the character Ahsoka Tano was introduced to the world in the 2008 animated movie Star Wars: The Clone Wars. She has risen from the ranks of obscurity to fan-favorite over her long, long career as a Jedi padawan and then simply as herself after she left the Jedi order. While many found her insufferable (ironically because she mirrored all of her master Anakin Skywalker’s personality flaws) when she was first introduced, throughout seven long seasons of the 2008 animated television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, fans watched her grow from an annoying brat into a wise and noble Jedi....

An Alex Cross TV series, based on the long-running book series by James Patterson, is coming to Prime Video, Deadline reports. Aldis Hodge will play the titular character, a detective and forensic psychologist whose also a doting father and family man. He’s also single-mindedly obsessed with digging into the psychoses of the killers he hunts and their victims. The series, which hails from Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television, is described as a “complex and twisted thriller” created by producer and writer Ben Watkins....
