Starz announced today it has picked up a second season of its deity-driven, critically-acclaimed original series American Gods, produced by FremantleMedia North America (FMNA), following its premiere on STARZ on April 30, which has garnered more thanم million multiplatform viewers to-date and growing. Carmi Zlotnik, president of programming for Starz, said this. Said Craig Cegielski, Co-CEO of FremantleMedia North America. “Bryan Fuller, Michael Green and Neil Gaiman have evolved the art form of television narratively, structurally and graphically with American Gods, and we’re thrilled to be working again with these artists as they continue to build the worlds and wars of the gods....

Andor showrunner Tony Gilroy set out to avoid fan service with this series. It’s part of why the Rogue One prequel differs from the typical Star Wars series and is a bit more grown-up. The Mandalorian might also be a series for adults, but baby Grogu is too young to watch Andor. With the first three episodes released together, there was plenty to watch, and nothing Gilroy put in them was wasted....

Don Murphy’s Angryfilms has picked up sci-fi author and blogger Cory Doctorow’s young-adult novel Little Brother, with plans to adapt it for the big screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Little Brother is a play on Big Brother of George Orwell fame, and centers on a high school senior who, after a terrorist attack blows up San Francisco’s Bay Bridge, becomes swept up in the extralegal world of Homeland Security. After he and his friends are interrogated and tortured, he is released into a city that is under total surveillance....

Following a sneak peek at the Animaniacs revival series from New York Comic-Con, Hulu has now released the full official trailer. It has been 22 years since Yakko, Wakko, and Dot have graced the small screen, and the Warner siblings are just as vibrant as ever as seen in the new trailer. The video also gives us our first look at the return of Pinky and the Brain, who will also be returning for the revival to great fanfare....

Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is almost ready to kick off with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The movie will not only see the return of Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang aka Ant-Man and the rest of his regular Ant-Man team, but also introduces a secret world hidden within our own universe which leads to a first confrontation with one of the many iterations of Kang the Conqueror. However, while all eyes are on the arrival of the Multiverse Saga’s big bad, another villain appearing in the movie will be fan-favorite MODOK....

As fans impatiently await the return of Arrow to The CW Network, we reported yesterday that there will be four new characters popping up in Season 3, two of which will be featured in the Hong Kong flashbacks of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). Entertainment Weekly recently spoke with Arrow stunt coordinator J.J. Makaro, who teased that fight coordinator James Bamford is currently in Asia learning new fight techniques, and that Season 3 may feature a Parkour-influenced fight scene....

Following the TV spot from earlier today, the CW Network has released new photos from the Arrow mid-season finale “Three Ghosts”, airing Wednesday, December 11. These photos don’t include Grant Gustin as Barry Allen, who made his debut on last night’s “The Scientist”, but we do get shots of Brother Blood (Kevin Alejandro), Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and several other cast members. James Cameron promised an epic return to Pandora in Avatar: The Way of Water and it seems he wasn’t exaggerating as the movie’s runtime has seemingly been revealed. According to details revealed by The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel to Cameron’s 2009 movie is a bum-numbing 190 minutes long, which would make it 30 minutes longer than the original. If this runtime holds up, then it would make the movie Cameron’s second-longest movie after Titanic, which came in at 194 minutes....

I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden is back on television this week as revealed in a new sneak peek video of her appearance on the popular game show Let’s Make a Deal. Previously, Eden had revealed her involvement in the show’s current season as a part of its themed “Decades Week,” touching on the ’50s through the ’90s. With Eden featured on the show to represent the ’60s, the actress took to Twitter to announce her excitement, saying that it’s “going to be a blast” to be a part of the show....

Ben Affleck is lining up his next project, in talks to direct Argo, an adaptation of a Wired magazine article centering on the Tehran hostage crisis, reports Heat Vision. George Clooney and Grant Heslov are producing the political thriller, which also will contain elements of wry humor. Written by Joshuah Bearman and published in April 2007, the article “How the CIA Used a Fake Sci-Fi Flick to Rescue Americans from Tehran,” centers on how, during the occupation of the American embassy by Iranians in 1979, a rescue effort was mounted by the CIA and the Canadian government to extract six U....

Netflix’s Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde received a wave of backlash upon its debut for allegedly sullying the memory of the Hollywood icon. However, during a recent appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia, director Andrew Dominik responded to the many complaints about the movie, citing the need for the American public to only view its biggest icons in a celebratory way. Blonde is one of this year’s most divisive movie releases, with critics being both full of praise for Ana de Armas’ performance as Monroe but cautious deriding of the exploitative nature of the narrative....

Titus Welliver is set to play the iconic DC villain and Superman’s archnemesis, Lex Luthor, in the upcoming season 4 of Titans. The show has been setting up Luthor’s arrival since season two when Conner/Superboy (played by Joshua Orpin) debuted in Titans. Superboy is a clone of both Clark Kent and Lex Luthor in Titans, and season 4 will explore the character’s dark side. About a week ago, major media outlets such as Variety reported that the actor Harrison Ford, who is synonymous for his major roles in both the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises, would be replacing the late William Hurt for the role of Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the upcoming Captain America sequel, Captain America: New World Order. Asked by MTV whether or not the film would live up to it’s name, Mintz-Plass said “I hope so. That’s all I can say is that I hope it will kick-ass. I don’t personally kick-ass in it, but other people kick-ass in it, and the movie will be kick-ass....

The Menu is one of the best movies to come out of 2022, even if it really didn’t get the attention it deserves until it dropped on HBO Max in 2023. The entire film is a mystery centering on Ralph Fiennes’ Chef Slowik and his creepy dishes that show he has something more sinister in mind for his patrons than just feeding them a five-star meal. With its incredible cast of actors playing entitled jerks aside from one underdog girl stuck in the middle of the mystery, it kind of seems like a Knives Out mystery with no Benoit Blanc there to save them....

Pedro Pascal may have found his most memorable career after already having a long career with principle roles in Game of Thrones, Narcos, Wonder Woman: 1984, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and Triple Frontier.
