Adult Swim’s highly anticipated theatrical film Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters is scheduled to hit movie theaters in March 2007. Written, produced and directed by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis, the movie will be distributed by First Look Pictures and marks the studio’s initial theatrical foray into animation, as well as Adult Swim’s first feature under the Williams Street banner. Some movies can get away without a soundtrack—or with a minimal soundtrack—if the content speaks for itself loud enough. Great movies in this tradition include No Country for Old Men, Rear Window, A Separation and Open Hearts. That said, music makes it so much easier for the audience to be engaged with the material. Sometimes, it can even make us care for stories and characters we wouldn’t normally care about. The Star Wars universe has been around long enough to solidify many of their characters into the status of iconic and instantly recognizable.
