Having directed only ten feature films across his 50-plus years in the industry, David Lynch has shown himself to be a very selective director. It’s fair to say that he only works on projects he’s passionate about, regardless of how much money is on the table. The fact that he turned down a Star Wars film is proof enough of this. At the same time, there have been films he wanted to make but couldn’t - some of which have completed screenplays that never made it to production....

If you haven’t seen it yet, Bones and All stars Taylor Russell and Timothee Chalamet in a grizzly yet touching coming-of-age cannibal film. It’s Chalamet and director Luca Guadagnino’s second collaboration after Call Me By Your Name, and you might be surprised to hear that it’s no less romantic. The movie finds Russell’s character, Maren, attempting to make friends in a new town, but we soon learn there’s a reason she’s been keeping her distance....

For too long, donkeys have been, well, the butt of many jokes and comical situations in all manner of film and television. We know them well in features like Shrek (2001), where Eddie Murphy indeed shines as the four-hoofed character foil to his ogre companion through the series but still often plays to the stereotypes as comic relief. The Banshees of Inisherin (2022), which is currently raking in awards, also features an endearing miniature donkey named Penny, the beloved pet of Collin Farrell’s character Pádraic that consoles him in his darkest moments, but is just that....

Deadline reports that Adult Swim has given a pilot order to Shredd: The Jon Johnsenson Story, a live-action comedy that will star Jason Lee. Luke Watson and Jason Lee wrote the script, with Jason Lee set to direct the pilot also. The story centers on a teenage skateboarder who was already at the top of his game until he slipped into a coma after trying a daring skate trick. He wakes up 25 years later at the age of 42, but he’s still stuck in the mindset of a teenager and must deal with all of the new changes in his life....

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to be the biggest Ant-Man movie to date, and that seems to include the longest runtime of Paul Rudd’s trilogy. In listings shared by Fandango, the kick-off movie of the MCU’s Phase 5 clocks in at two hours and five minutes, which is around 8 minutes longer than the previous two movies. The runtime itself is nothing spectacular within the MCU, with many movies clocking in around the same time or higher, but it seems to be giving fans a little more time in the Quantum Realm adventure this time around....

Steve “Lips” Kudlow and Robb Reiner, Anvil band members and the subjects of the hit documentary Anvil: The Story of Anvil, are set to make their appearance on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien airing Tuesday, October 6th on NBC at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT. The film makes its television premiere on VH1 and VH1 Classic as part of the “VH1 Rock Docs” franchise on Saturday, October 3rd at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT; and the DVD version will be available at all major retailers beginning October 6th....

The most expensive movie ever made is well on its way to recouping. Avatar: Way of the Water has climbed steadily to $1 billion in only 14 days globally. Fans are still flocking to the theater to see the James Cameron directed film in droves, with the holiday movie season still in full swing for many. Variety reports that Avatar: Way of The Water surpasses Jurassic World Dominion and is currently the second highest-grossing film of the year, only falling behind Top Gun: Maverick....
