Fox has renewed the critically acclaimed hit drama 9-1-1, from creators Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, for a second season, it was announced today by Gary Newman and Dana Walden, Chairmen & CEOs, Fox Television Group. The series premiere of 9-1-1 has grown to more than 15 million viewers in seven-day multi-platform viewing, including its encore, delivering Fox’s largest debut since Empire in 2015, excluding post-Super Bowl premieres....

The Walking Dead spin-off series Daryl Dixon could end up seeing a reunion between the crossbow-carrying survivor and a certain Rick Grimes, with reports that Andrew Lincoln has been spotted in France, where the series has been filming. Although Lincoln is finally returning in his own Walking Dead spin-off with Danai Gurira’s Michonne, it would not be too unexpected to see him being reunited with Norman Reedus’ Daryl. Hannibal Classics is moving forward on Amityville - The Legacy 3D, which fill find writers Steve B. Harris and Andrew Helm adapting the novel ‘Amityville: The Evil Escapes’ by John G. Jones. A director has yet to be hired and no cast is in place, but Hannibal plans to have Amityville - The Legacy 3D in front of a camera this September, with a projected release date of October 2012. Paramount Pictures has picked up rights for Sarah Mylnowski’s young-adult novel Gimme a Call and will have Race to Witch Mountain helmer Andy Fickman direct the project. According to Variety, the story is about a high school senior who is generally dissatisfied with her life and mistakenly drops her phone in a fountain. When she fishes it out, she discovers the only call she can make is to herself – at age 14, when anything seemed possible....

Ahead of the premiere of emotional drama Alice, Darling at the Toronto International Film Festival, star Anna Kendrick opened up about her personal experiences with abuse. Kendrick told People that a former romantic partner, who she declined to name, emotionally and psychologically abused her over the course of their relationship. “I was in a situation where I loved and trusted this person more than I trusted myself,” the actress, 37, said....

Riverdale proved to be a major hit for The CW last year. The Batwoman TV series starring Ruby Rose is officially moving forward. The CW has revealed that they have ordered a pilot for a possible series with Game of Thrones director David Nutter at the helm. It was announced last summer that the show was in development and that Caroline Dries was on board to write and executive produce alongside Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Geoff Johns, who is producing the project under his Mad Ghost Productions....

As well as his faultless role in the BBC series of Sherlock, Benedict Cumberbatch is best known for playing Doctor Stephen Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Just prior to his first appearance as the Sorcerer Supreme, Cumberbatch starred in Zoolander 2 as a non-binary fashion model, a role that brought a lot of controversy during the film’s release. AppleTV+ was just handed a number of Golden Globe nominations, thanks to series like Severance and Black Bird. The popular streamer won big at both the Primetime Emmy Awards and the Oscars this past year, including a Best Picture win for CODA. While not every show can be as awarded as Ted Lasso, AppleTV+ has nonetheless produced a number of great TV shows in its few years as a streaming service....

It has been almost three years since Disney Plus launched, joining the pantheon of streaming platforms available and becoming, according to Business Insider, one of the best streaming services for on-demand content.
