Apple TV+ has found success with 2022’s Severance, which follows Mark (Adam Scott), who is an employee that works for a company called Lumon, which requires its employees to undergo a brain surgery that removes memories of work from their personal life. Directed by Ben Stiller and Aoife McArdle, Severance is a dystopian series about office horrors and, as such, doesn’t seem too far removed from the corporate world of today....

It was announced today that the cable channel A&E officially acquired Lifetime Entertainment Services. Here is the official press release: The Disney-ABC Television Group, Hearst Corporation and NBC Universal today announced an agreement for A&E Television Networks to acquire Lifetime Entertainment Services. The parent company will retain the name A&E Television Networks, LLC (AETN), and its subsidiary will retain the name Lifetime Entertainment Services, LLC. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to occur in 2009....

Around two months after filming commenced on Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston’s Murder Mystery 2, the pair shared a wrap video on Instagram to celebrate the completion of the shoot. The film follows up their 2019 movie, which set a record on Netflix at the time as one of their biggest ever original movies, and it did not take long for the streamer to put a sequel into development. However, the Covid pandemic meant a number of filming delays that have held up the film, but the new announcement has confirmed that filming has finally completed....

Absolute Dominion, a martial arts drama starring Alex Winter and Patton Oswalt, is in the works at Netflix. Lexi Alexander (Punisher: War Zone) is on board to write and direct the film. She’ll also serve as a producer. Absolute Dominion will be a joint venture between Netflix and Blumhouse Television. Anthony Hopkins is in negotiations to play the villain in the new remake of the 1942 classic Arabian Nights, directed by Chuck Russell. According to Heat Vision, Hopkins will play Pharotu, an evil sorcerer who killed Sinbad’s love, a mermaid, and is looking to amass more magic for himself. The action-adventure was written by Russell and Barry P. Ambrose, the period epic centers on a young commander (Liam Hemsworth) who, after his king is murdered in a coup, joins forces with Sinbad, Ali Baba and the Genie from the magic lamp to rescue the queen, Scheherazade....

Saban Films has revealed our first look at action movie superstar Bruce Willis in one of his final movie roles.
