The beloved spy family is coming back, and this time they’re infiltrating Netflix! The streaming service is partnering with the original creator behind the original Spy Kids film series, Robert Rodriguez, to relaunch the property for an all-new audience! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix has officially announced the reboot; it had previously been rumored in 2021. Rodriguez is credited with writing, directing, and producing the upcoming film reboot as he did with the previous films....

Harold and Kumar (John Cho, Kal Penn) return to theaters with a much funnier than expected third installment, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas. This film delivers the raunchiness, poor taste, and perversity other films, like the crap Hangover 2; utterly failed to deliver. Anthony Rapp has responded to the verdict in his case against Kevin Spacey on Thursday, October 20, 2022, which concluded that the Star Trek: Discovery actor hadn’t proved his claims. You can bring home Vin Diesel’s new futuristic action flick on DVD and Blu-ray this January. Babylon A.D. will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on January 6. The film will be released in a single-disc edition, with both the theatrical and unrated cuts ($29.98) a two-disc special edition with Digital Copy and a graphic novel prequel ($34.98) and the Blu-ray edition with Digital Copy ($39.98 SRP). Hong Kong director Wong Kar-Wai is one of the greatest auteurs in contemporary cinema. He was born in Shanghai, China, but when he was a young boy, his parents moved to Hong Kong when the Cultural Revolution began. The Avengers recently began production in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye will both be featured as part of this superhero ensemble, and Marvel president Kevin Feige recently indicated that they both may receive their own spin-off movies, along with a S.H.I.E.L.D. movie. February was a Blu-ray month! In a story from Video Business, Blu-ray maintained it’s sales lead over HD-DVD “by a two-to-one margin.” So far the numbers claim that “consumers bought around 250,000 units of Blu-ray movies during the month, compared to the estimated 125,000 units of HD- DVD movies.” The Departed and Superman Returns were the big sellers “on both formats.” In it’s first week The Departed moved “20,000 units on Blu-ray and 13,000 on HD DVD....

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE There were really no tricks at the box office over the Halloween weekend last week as Saw 3D, the seventh and final chapter in the popular horror franchise, murdered the competition and took the number one spot with $22.5. But this week, the reigning champ had a tough time holding on to its number one position against three highly anticipated new films including the animated movie MegaMind, Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls and Todd Phillips’s Due Date, all of which made more money this week than last week’s number one film....
