Set photos for the upcoming second season reveal the return of Jonah Heidelbaum (Logan Lerman) alongside fellow Hunters. There’s Millie Morris (Jerrika Hinton), Lonny Flash (Josh Radnor), Roxy Jones (Tiffany Boone), and Sister Harriet (Kate Mulvany)....

Samurai films maintain an essential space in the history of cinema, being the Japanese equivalent of what cowboy westerns were in the west. You never know where news will come from. Apparently, singer Kanye West was at Jim Henson’s Creature Shop over the weekend and he posted some photos on his blog from the visit. One of the pictures appears to be a design from the upcoming adaptation of Where the Wild Things Are. Click check out the image below. In a rare move, an actor has come forward to state that he is not a fan of the genre he is currently working in. Aidan Turner, who plays Kili the Dwarf in Peter Jackson’s upcoming prequel The Hobbit doesn’t much care for fantasy films, but he does acknowledge that The Lord of the Rings trilogy is a masterpiece of storytelling. Turner recently spoke out about appearing in the next installment of the Rings mythos, confirming that he is headed off to Hobbit boot camp soon....

A new take on Dracula is in motion and director Alex Proyas doesn’t want garlic on his “stake.” MTV Movies Blog recently chatted with Proyas about his upcoming film, Dracula Year Zero, and revealed some of which elements of this classic horror character will be involved in his take, and some that won’t. He said his film is the, “sort of the origin tale that mixes [the historical] Prince Vlad of Transylvania with sort of [fictionalized] Bram Stoker [take]....

In Time actress Amanda Seyfried is in talks to star in Lovelace, a biopic on legendary porn star Linda Lovelace. Actor Peter Sarsgaard is also in talks to join Lovelace. He will portray Chuck Traynor, Linda Lovelace’s husband and porn director. We reported back in January that Kate Hudson and James Franco were offered the lead roles, although it seems a deal was never reached. We also reported in July that Olivia Wilde expressed interest in playing Linda Lovelace....

Kris Allen and Adam Lambert are American Idol’s Top 2 finalists after Danny Gokey received the fewest of the record-setting 88 million votes cast last night. In a season full of surprises, next week’s final performance show promises to be a night to remember as Allen and Lambert compete head-to-head for the Idol crown at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE Tuesday, May 19 (8:00-9:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed) on FOX....

The controversy of J.K. Rowling’s reported transphobic comments has rumbled on since 2018, and it doesn’t seem to show any signs of going away anytime soon. The latest star of the Harry Potter movies, which are based on Rowling’s multi-million selling novels, to give their take on the issue is Harry Melling. Melling appeared in the Potter franchise as Dudley Dursley, and although he was happy to give his own opinion on the subject, he was also quick to point out that it is just that....

In December 2022, the Critics’ Choice Award committee announced its list of 2023 nominees. Among the nominees is the historical drama series Pachinko, which is nominated for Best Foreign Language Series, according to a report from Forbes. Based on the New York Times best-selling novel by author Min Jin Lee, Apple TV+’s Pachinko is a fictional tale about the Japan-Korea annexation. The show is a fictional portrayal of a native Korean girl named Sunja as well as generations of her family as they navigate life under Japanese rule....

Attorney Gloria Allred has signed a deal with Hearst Entertainment Productions to star in a reality series titled No Guts No Gloria, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hearst said the project, which is being shopped to broadcast and cable networks, teams Allred with people who are “angry and out for justice.” Allred, using a “take-no-prisoners attitude and unconventional tactics,” will help them formulate a plan and then work to find a fair resolution for both parties....

20th Century Fox has confirmed that James Cameron is making the back-to-back sequels Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 his main priority, tying up the director until 2015. This leaves Angelina Jolie’s Cleopatra, a film that James Cameron was gearing up to direct, on indefinite hold for the time being. Sony Pictures had planned to get Cleopatra in front of cameras early next year. There is no word on whether or not they will go with another director on that project....

Sierra Online, a division of Vivendi Games, is creating a video game inspired by the hit television series, Battlestar Galactica, airing on the SCI FI Channel. Battlestar Galactica will be available on Xbox Live Arcade, as well as Windows PC, in Fall 2007. To gear up for the game, fans of Battlestar Galactica will be able to download Gamer Pics and Themepacks from the show on Xbox Live Marketplace beginning today....
