Following a blistering roast last week courtesy of Comedy Central, Alec Baldwin returned to Saturday Night Live on Saturday evening to once again slam Donald Trump. Having now performed the impersonation across multiple seasons, Baldwin is very well-known for his time as Trump on SNL. In the Season 45 premiere with host Woody Harrelson and musical guest Billie Eilish, Baldwin appeared as Trump in the cold open with actor Liev Schreiber....

The legal battle continues between Amber Heard and ex-husband Johnny Depp, and during a recess in the trial, a new photograph of Heard’s alleged injuries has been released. One alleged incident of violence, according to Heard, came when Depp “backhand[ed]” her during an argument. Heard testified that she felt her lip go “into [her] teeth” and even saw a “little bit of blood” from her mouth splashed on the wall....

FX’s American Horror Story wrapped up its seventh season in mid-November, and fans have been impatiently awaiting any details about Season 8. Deadline reports that actors Bruce Willis and Rebecca Hall (The Town) are the favorites to star in Lay the Favorite, Take the Dog, which is also known as Lay the Favorite. The movie is based off Beth Raymer’s memoir of the same name, which centers on her relationship with two older men and how they managed to find an edge in the Las Vegas sports gambling system. Bruce Willis put out a huge number of straight-to-video movies in the last few years of his career, and the reason for that became apparent when it was announced that the iconic action star was being forced into retirement after being diagnosed with aphasia. Now Willis has become the first Hollywood actor to sell their likeness for use in deepfake videos. Bruce Willis’ announcement earlier this year shocked and saddened the world, with the Die Hard star being praised by thousands of colleagues, friends, family, and fans for his four-decade career....

20th Century Fox shuffled a few release dates today, the most notable being the sci-fi prequel Caesar: Rise of the Apes, which was moved from a June 24 release to Thanksgiving weekend, opening on November 23. The studio feels that the sci-fi project, which stars James Franco, Freida Pinto and Andy Serkis, will play well throughout the holiday season. Fox also moved its Jim Carrey comedy Mr. Popper’s Penguins from an August 12 release to June 17....

CBS Corporation and Warner Bros. Entertainment today announced their intent to form a new 5th network, The CW, to be launched in the fall of 2006. The new broadcasting network will be a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment and CBS Corporation, with each company owning 50%. In an important strategic move that secures major market distribution for The CW, it was announced that Tribune Broadcasting and the CBS Corporation’s UPN affiliates have agreed separately to sign 10-year affiliation agreements with the new network....

CBS is going to Rock ’n’ (Super) Bowl in February with the Network’s coverage of SUPER BOWL XLI and THE 49TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS. The Good This movie recalls the early films of Robert Rodriguez. Highly original. The Bad I would have liked a thorough “making of” featurette to accompany this DVD. I had read about Cavite in the L.A. Times when it came out here on a theatrical run. This simple idea was deftly executed by Ian Gamazon (who also stars) and Neil Dela Llana. Adam (Gamazon) gets a call one night to come back to the Philippines because his father has died....
