Dave Bautista has officially announced his retirement from WWE wresting. Bautista, who goes under the name Batista in the ring, appeared in a crazy fight with Triple H at WrestleMania XXXV and lost the long battle. A few hours after the fight was over, Bautista posted his announcement on social media, making sure to thank all of his fans for the love and support over the years. The former wrestler has focused on his acting work over the past five years, but always teased a return to the ring to finish on his own terms....

AMC has released a new teaser for season 5 of Better Call Saul, revealing the show’s anticipated return date. For fans of the show, it’s been a bit of a painful wait for new episodes, as season 4 concluded back in October 2018. The new teaser video doesn’t show any actual footage from the upcoming season, but it does unveil Feb. 23 as the premiere date for season 5. By revealing the new business card of Saul Goodman officially using his new name as an attorney at law, there’s just enough here for fans to get excited about....

DCEU movies have been hit or miss, with most landing on the miss side of the line on too many occasions. Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey was a movie that seemed destined to land in that group, but against the odds, the R-rated comic book movie proved to be a reasonable hit with critics, audiences and at the box office. It was announced last year that Jurnee Smollett would be reprising her Black Canary role from the movie in a solo outing, and it seems that the actress has been able to give a rare update on the status of the new movie....

The Blue Man Group has made a deal with producer Charlotte Huggins (Journey to the Center of the Earth) to star in a musical for Imax 3-D with an eye toward a wider release on standard-sized digital 3-D screens. According to Variety, the original Blue Man stage trio of Matt Goldman, Chris Wink and Phil Stanton will star. The film will be a new idea created specifically for 3-D. Blue Man Group is keeping details under wraps, but Goldman said, “It’s going to have a story, believe it or not....

Twentieth Century Fox has announced a tiered theatrical release pattern for Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. The much anticipated film will premiere on 800 screens in the U.S. and Canada on November 3, 2006, stepping up incrementally in the ensuing weeks as word-of-mouth spreads by its highly influential core-audience. “The reaction to this movie has been incredible and we know that the word-of-mouth will be excellent,” said Bruce Snyder, Twentieth Century Fox President of Distribution....

John Wick star Keanu Reeves will soon continue his legacy as an action hero with the upcoming BRZRKR, which will follow the beloved actor as an immortal warrior who fights his way through the ages. Now, writer Mattson Tomlin has taken to social media to reveal that he has finished work on the script, which, spoiler alert, will end with a classic “cut to black.” The initial image sent the internet into something of a meltdown as many believed that Tomlin was teasing his completion of the script for The Batman 2, a project he is currently working on alongside director Matt Reeves....

Emma Roberts, Chris Messina, and Ari Graynor have joined the cast of the romantic comedy Celeste and Jesse Forever. The story centers on a young, recently-divorced couple (Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg) who decide to remain living together as they try to maintain their friendship while seeing other people. Emma Roberts will portray a young starlet who hires Rashida Jones’ Celeste to try and overhaul her image. Chris Messina will play a friend of Celeste who tries to help her get over Jesse, and Ari Graynor is portraying Celeste’s best friend who doesn’t like her current living arrangement....

The 31st Annual Razzie Awards announced their nominations, with sequels, remakes, and rip-offs dominating. The so-called “winners of the worsts” will be awarded on Hollywood’s Barnsdall Gallery Theatre on Saturday, February 26. Razzie repeat offender M. Night Shyamalan ’re-imagined’ the faux-anime TV series The Last Airbender into a jumbled, jump-cut mess of a movie that fans of the TV show hated even more than critics did (if that’s even possible!). In addition to Worst Director and Worst Picture, the film is up for Worst Remake, Worst Screenplay, Worst Screen Couple/Ensemble (the entire cast) and a brand-new Razzie category for 2010, Worst Eye-Gouging Mis-Use of 3-D....

Director Roland Emmerich has made a name for himself for his disaster films and now he’s going in a much different direction and has a cast lined up as well. Empire is reporting that Vanessa Redgrave, David Thewlis and Rhys Ifans have joined the cast of Anonymous. The new film centers on a centuries-old theory that William Shakespeare’s plays were actually written by Edward de Vere, the 17th Earl of Oxford....

In fact, since there is such a wide range of movies to choose from, they can fulfill every need of the public, whether they are looking for something funny or feel-good and light-hearted to take their mind off their problems, or they prefer to watch a very sad movie for a good cry....

Most everyone loves a good romance now and again. When Harry Met Sally, Titanic – forget about it. Even Scarface had romance in it. It’s hard to get away from the romance angle in movies sometimes, but there is a certain flavor of film that just doesn’t have the time for that. These types of films generally revolve around murder and/or survival in some way. It’s hard to think about your sweetie in an affectionate way when you find out he wants to put an axe through your skull or when some mountain man wants to sodomize you and make you squeal like a pig in the woods....
