Star of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why, Tommy Dorfman, announced today on Instagram and via an article in Time magazine that they have come out as a trans woman, and from now on will be using the pronouns of “she/her”. Activision, Inc. announced that the company is currently in development on three launch titles for both the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and Wii (formerly code named Revolution) platforms. In 2007, the company will release 10 games for the three next-generation platforms including X-Men: The Official Game for the Xbox 360. Activision’s PlayStation 3 system launch lineup will take advantage of the hardware’s multi-core processing to deliver smoother, faster gaming experiences that will closely resemble feature film quality values....

The 2021 musical film is surreal, disturbing, and employs an unbelievable cast including Adam Driver of Star Wars, Marion Cotillard of La Vie en Rose and Inception, and Simon Helberg of The Big Bang Theory. Beatrice Loayza of The New York Times accurately describes Carax’s style as “outré, defiantly bombastic, and deliberately upsetting” in an era of films which play it safe....

James Cameron has been making the press rounds in support of Avatar’s upcoming re-release on August 27th. In an exclusive interview that we conducted with the director last week, Cameron hinted that he will most likely shoot both Avatar 2 and Avatar 3 back-to-back, but that he was still working on a deal with 20th Century Fox, and that he wouldn’t start shooting the first sequel until a deal was firmly in place....
First-time director Danny Mooney has lined up actors Liam Hemsworth, Teresa Palmer, Aimee Teegarden, and Austin Stowell to star in AWOL. All of the actors are currently in negotiations for the indie drama, which is set in the Vietnam War era. The story centers on Austin Stowell’s character, a soldier in Vietnam who is dumped by his girlfriend (Aimee Teegarden) while serving overseas. He decides to go AWOL along with his best friend (Liam Hemsworth) to make it back to America and try to win back her heart....
Michael Caine appeared on BBC’s The Chris Moyles Show earlier today, where he revealed that Batman 3, the highly anticipated sequel to The Dark Knight, will begin shooting this May. The actor did not confirm that he would be appearing in the sequel, only saying, “I assume they’ll ask me to be there. In the movie business, you never believe anything. You always assume.” Michael Caine also made it clear that Christopher Nolan and his co-writer Jonathan Nolan know who the main villain will be, but they are not sharing that information with anyone at this time....
Battlestar Galactica is getting a reboot for NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service from Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr. Robot. It has been reported Esmail will executive produce the straight-to-series drama and is currently searching for a writer for the project. At this time, no other details are known about the reboot, but it will reportedly feature an “updated, more modern look at the world as told through the lens of the sci-fi favorite....

Batwoman star Ruby Rose says she had to go undergo emergency surgery. Rose was first seen as the character during the Arrowverse crossover event Elseworlds and she gave DC fans something to get excited about. A standalone show was quickly green lit and Rose has been busy shooting it, which involves doing some of her own stunt work. In addition to her own show, the actress is also taking part in the epic five-hour Crisis on Infinite Earths storyline....
If the concept of murder in a small town detective show isn’t already a considered a genre it should be. Bellevue, the latest show to air on the WGN Network (which I guess hasn’t totally abandoned original programming) stars Anna Paquin as Annie Ryder, a very emotionally unbalanced detective in the rural town of Bellevue. I say this because right from the beginning of the Pilot, she is willing to seduce a suspect at a bar and take him back to a hotel room where she partakes in cocaine and ends up half naked just to get the lead she needs....
Ben Kingsley, Julian Sands, Jena Malone, and Michele Martín have signed on to star in A Doll’s House for Cinema Alterna and director Charles Huddleston. The project is an adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s 1978 play, set in modern times. The story centers on Nora Helmer (Michele Martín), a young wife trying to escape from her overbearing husband, in the midst of today’s economic recession. Ben Kingsley will play Dr. Rank, a family friend of the Helmers, while Jena Malone is set to portray Christine Linde, one of Nora’s close friends....
