While we had no reason to doubt them, director Bryan Singer and producer Simon Kinberg have proven to be men of their word. Within a few days of each other, Bryan Singer hinted that the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is coming soon, before Simon Kinberg confirmed that it will be attached to prints of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, in theaters December 18. The trailer debuted online earlier today, and we’ve pored over this exciting footage frame by frame, creating a massive gallery of over 90 images from the new trailer....

NBC’s ER has added four new cast members for its upcoming final season: Shiri Appleby, Julian Morris, Emily Rose and Victor Rasuk, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The quartet will recur as new interns at County General Hospital on the medical drama, from Warner Bros. TV. Appleby and Morris will play siblings Daria and Andrew Wade. Daria is a smart and eager to learn, while Andrew uses his looks, smarts and charm to get ahead....

The King was one of the most anticipated releases on Netflix back in 2019. It’s the movie that had Lily-Rose Depp and Timothée Chalamet dating after a brief scene together at the end, but it also had many eager fans waiting to see how Chalamet would be in it after appearing in Call Me By Your Name, Lady Bird, and Beautiful Boy. Joel Edgerton was cast as his companion, while Robert Pattinson would be the French antagonist....

The fifth season of American Idol continued to be television royalty this week as the Top 8 finalists performed their favorite Queen songs. Last night, it was revealed that Bucky Covington received the fewest votes after Tuesday’s performance show, ending his quest to become the next American Idol. Covington, from Rockingham, NC, sang “Fat Bottomed Girls.” Next week, legendary singer Rod Stewart will lend his talents to the Idol finalists as they perform classic American songs on Tuesday’s show....

The year 2008 marks the beginning of one of the biggest movie franchises in film history: the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Of course, comic book superhero movies were around, like the Blade trilogy starring Wesley Snipes, the ensemble X-Men movies, perhaps most popularly, Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man franchise. That being said, even the best superhero movies weren’t the sole dominating box office draw they are today. When Iron Man was released in 2008, it was more or a less a gamble....

Since the inception of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s deductive detective in 1887, over 250 adaptations have followed, making Sherlock Holmes the most portrayed literary human character in film & TV. Each new actor that dons the deerstalker and takes up the tobacco pipe contributes to the mythos of Sherlock, focusing on an aspect of the original character to reanimate. The fidelity of Sherlock derivatives has varied over the years. Some follow the example of the 1984 Granada series, rarely straying from the detective found in the pages of The Strand Magazine....

Simon Pegg premiered the first trailer for his upcoming horror-comedy A Fantastic Fear of Everything on his Twitter page today. The actor stars as a writer who delves into research on Victorian era serial killers for his crime novel, which makes him paranoid and delusional. Jack (Simon Pegg) is a children’s author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered....

Adult Swim, the top cable network to the male, 18 -34 age category has announced its fall program scheduling. According to Variety, the network will premiere five new shows this season, which include Assy McGee, in which a cop battles criminals in a city in which crime has become rampant; Death Clock Metalocalypse, an animated comedy about the destructive exploits of a heavy metal band, with guest appearances from musicians including Kirk Hammett and James Hetfield of Metallica; Frisky Dingo, in which a superhero and an archvillain hesitate to wipe each other out for fear of diminishing their toy sales; Saul of the Mole Men, which combines live-action, puppets, animation and green-screen technology; and Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil, which delves into the family politics of Satan....

Starz has released a new look at American Gods Season 2 and it reveals old and new threats. The series has gone through some turmoil in recent months, so it’s nice to see that everything is back on track and moving forward. When creator Neil Gaiman was recently asked about the new season, he revealed that it is “bigger, darker, and stranger” than ever before. That’s a pretty bold statement, but if anybody knows the source material, it’s certainly the man who wrote it in the first place....

The second season of American Horror Stories will hit FX and Hulu this July, FX has confirmed. The American Horror Story spin-off is an anthology series that tells a standalone story every episode (except for the series’ first two episodes that followed the story of Rubber Woman). While details have not been released surrounding the season two cast, viewers can expect to see actors from creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s other productions as crossovers are common....

American Idol kicks off its 10th season on Wednesday, January 19, with new judges Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez joining Randy Jackson. Many more changes for the show that go past the judges table were announced today, and here are some of the highlights below: Elimination rounds will move faster than previous seasons, with the Top 24 being trimmed down to either a Top 12 or Top 15. Producers have still not decided on a final number, although viewer voting will still play a major part in the semi-finals....

Arielle Kebbel (The Uninvited) has been added to the cast of ABC’s new superhero comedy No Heroics. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news, but remains vague about what Kebbel’s character’s abilities are, saying only that she is the sweetheart of the group. The British version of the show is about a group of superheroes, including The Hotness, Electoclash, Timebomb and She-Force who hang out in a bar, and bemoan the fact that they’re not as successful as Excelsor....

The mystery of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Zeus project has been revealed. Recently, the Terminator star took to Twitter to release a mock poster for a Zeus movie with himself in the role of the famous Greek god. Schwarzenegger did not reveal what the project was for, though many had speculated that it could be for a Super Bowl commercial. Now, BMW USA has unveiled a new video ad introducing Schwarzenegger’s Zeus trying to order a beverage in a coffee shop....

Any worries of Avatar: The Way of Water failing to perform at the box office are a dim and distant memory, as the James Cameron epic surpassed $850 million at the worldwide box office and jumped to fifth place on the highest grossing movies of 2022. This puts the movie above recent Marvel release Black Panther: Wakanda Forever by over $80 million, thanks in the main to a strong international box office....

Though Euphoria star and executive producer Zendaya recently teased what fans might expect from the show’s upcoming third season, saying she’d like to see the main cast in their lives post-high school, one familiar face will be missing from the friend group. Barbie Ferreira, who has played Katherine “Kat” Hernandez on Euphoria since the critically-acclaimed drama premiered in 2019, announced Wednesday that she would be exiting the show ahead of season three....

The Good All four discs come in special two disc editions that are loaded with bells and whistles. The packaging is elaborate and easy to sift through. The Bad With the only Batman hree clunkers in the collection (even with all the extras) is a bit of a costly pill to swallow. It’s a bit weird reviewing Batman: The Motion Picture Anthology 1989-1997 mainly because the first Batman had such an effect on me as a young boy....

Finally, Batman Beyond has been remastered and is coming to Blu-ray this fall in a new box set that will bring the entire series home in HD for the first time ever. Last year, fans of the Caped Crusader had their prayers answered when Batman: The Animated Series, in a long-overdue move, made its way to Blu-ray in one nice, convenient package. Now, Warner Bros. has decided to do the same for this beloved series, as announced at San Diego Comic-Con and we have a video that shows just how stunning it’s going to look....

If you’re still undecided if you want to see the recent Lionsgate thriller Fall, which arrived in theatres back on August 12th, perhaps this exclusive clip from the film will change your mind. The film stars Grace Caroline Currey (Shazam!) and Virginia Gardner (Marvel’s Runaways) as best friends named Becky and Hunter, two experienced climbers who get more than they bargained for during an outing. Becky’s husband Dan, played by Mason Gooding, who’ll you’ll next see in the upcoming sixth Scream film, has passed away during a climbing accident....
