It seems that all your favorite animated automobiles will be back in theaters sooner than we thought. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Cars 2 will be driving up to theaters in 2011. The sequel was originally slated for a 2012 release, but Pixar’s John Lassetter said at a Disney event today that the film has been moved up a year. Lassetter also said that Brad Lewis, who produced Antz and Ratatouille, will make his direcotrial debut and that the film will be inspired by cars all over the world that Lassetter saw while doing press for Cars....

America Chavez’s debuted in Marvel Comics back in 2011 through a limited run titled Vengeance before later returning for crossover events in Young Avengers and A-Force. It was in 2016 that a solo series for America was announced, permitting Marvel to lean further into the nuances of the character. America was written by Latina novelist Gabby Riviera in 2018 prior to its cancellation. Raised by her mothers in the Utopian Parallel, America fled the destruction of Utopia and instead found herself bounding from reality to reality under the alter-ego of Miss America....

ABC continues to set the industry standard for creative ingenuity, strong viewer retention and ratings success in primetime, delivering the No. 1 comedy (Modern Family), No. 1 drama (Grey’s Anatomy) and No. 1 freshman drama (Once Upon a Time) this season in the key Adult 18-49 demographic. ABC’s Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is bringing in yet another iconic character from the Marvel comics, with Adrian Pasdar (Heroes) signing on to play Glenn Talbot. In the comics, Talbot spent years trying to track down the Incredible Hulk, a theme which will continue in the series, although this military man will also cause trouble for the S.H.I.E.L.D. team. The character first debuted in 1964’s Tales to Astonish #61, appearing in over 140 issues of other comic books throughout the years....

Police are still actively investigating what happened on the set of the western movie Rust, which resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The cast and crew had been preparing a scene which called for Alec Baldwin’s character to draw a firearm and point it at the camera. It’s not entirely clear what happened next, but somehow, the gun discharged a live round which struck both Hutchins and director Joel Souza....

It seems that a classic sci-fi film is in line to get a brand new origin story. According to Bloody-Disgusting, Fox is developing a new origin story for the 1979 sci-fi classic, Alien. The site had originally reported that the project was going to be a straight-up remake of the film, but shortly thereafter the story was updated with information that another source indicated the new project was going to be an origin story and not a remake....

Months after Amber Heard came out on the losing end of her defamation trial with ex-husband Johnny Depp, the embattled actress had garnered some newfound support. Per TMZ, the world-famous feminist Gloria Steinem is among the 130 people to have signed an open letter addressing the online treatment of Heard and her supporters, which they say has been “unprecedented in both vitriol and scale.” The letter also challenges the verdict of the trial, suggesting that jurors were misled by a “misunderstanding of intimate partner and sexual violence and how survivors respond to it....

Apparently, this is the season for dolls, and it’s almost time to play. At least, that’s what the season 2 teaser for American Horror Stories suggests. Although Chucky would likely be tempted to cross over for a visit, no one would dare advise Barbie or Ken to trek over to this particular dollhouse (or die-o-rama) to make friends. In the season 2 teaser titled Die-O-Rama, viewers see plastic humanoids going about their daily lives like their human counterparts, only with a slight twist....

The Good A must see film that presents an important issue that is relevent to every single human being on the planet. The Bad The packaging may have reduced some waste, but it will scuff up your DVD. An Inconvenient Truth made a huge impact when it came out in theaters. You couldn’t watch TV without hearing about it. Al Gore did some serious publicity work for the film and was on about every talk show there is....

A new image from the upcoming MCU sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania finds Paul Rudd’s character Scott Lang coming face-to-face with the franchise’s next major villain, Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conqueror. The images come courtesy of Empire, and offer another look at Major’s surprisingly comic-accurate suit, with the supervillain no doubt making Scott Lang an offer he can’t refuse.
