The world is in need of some good laughs and the gang is (virtually) back together again to deliver them in the special Upfront event, which premieres next week The one-hour episode is a one-off, so we don’t expect to see everybody getting back together again (virtually or not) for another episode in the near future, though that would be a great gift to fans....
Mike Flanagan has made himself one of the biggest names when it comes to Netflix content. Not only that, but he has also made himself into a big name in horror. He arguably doesn’t get the credit he deserves for his contributions to the genre. Films like Oculus and Ouija: Origin of Evil easily could have been copy-and-paste ghost stories made during a period where films tried to rip off a much better movie....

Alex Trebek is not afraid of dying and he reportedly will not be stepping down from hosting Jeopardy! any time soon. The iconic host has been at the front of the gameshow since 1984 and has never missed one taping. It was revealed in March of this year that Trebek was fighting stage IV pancreatic cancer and he then announced in May that he was in remission after successful rounds of chemotherapy....
2021 didn’t have much to offer in terms of original sci-fi; it was mostly just big fantasy films. Sure, Apple TV released a post-apocalyptic flick about a robot learning to take care of a dog (and learning to love along the way), which was pretty good; it starred that young up-and-coming actor, you know, Tommy Hanks. Of course, there was Free Guy, a strange, funny, and heartfelt jaunt about a video game NPC (played by Ryan Reynolds) gaining sentience and striking out to live his own life....
Netflix’s Marilyn Monroe biopic Blonde has been officially rated NC-17, but that’s perplexing for the film’s lead star, Ana de Armas. In the film, Armas plays the late Hollywood legend, and as the star of the movie, she was recently asked about the film’s rating by French magazine L’Officiel. Per THR, here’s what Armas had to say in response. Director Andrew Dominik has previously said he wasn’t surprised by the NC-17 rating, as he knew he was pushing the envelope with the content included in Blonde....
While nothing has been confirmed by the studio thus far, it seems that Disney’s recent purchases of website domain names could indicate a few future films moving forward. Stich Kingdom is reporting that Disney has purchased a domain name for Ant-Man at Ant-Man-TheMovie.com. This film has been rumored to be in development for some time, allegedly with Edgar Wright attached to direct. Comic legend Stan Lee also raised some eyebrows with a recent Twitter post in February....
Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon continues to grow its impressive cast by adding Anthony Hopkins as the voice of battle robot Jimmy. The sci-fi movie is part of a Snyder’s first-look partnership with Netflix, and after delivering the monster hit Army of the Dead and its prequel follow-up, there are big things expected of the director’s foray into Star Wars territory. Having released a few brief teases of what to expect from the epic movie, it is already looking like Snyder fans will be happy....

Former Jackass franchise star Bam Margera has gotten some good news related to his lawsuit against his old friends. After Margera sued several key members involved in the production of Jackass Forever, including Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, Paramount, MTV, and others, the defendants had sought to get the lawsuit thrown out. A Los Angeles Superior Court has now issued a tentative ruling that that a lawsuit by Margara may proceed, finding his claims have a “probability of success” against the defendants...
Barry Sonnenfeld is returning to the small screen yet again. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Sonnenfeld will executive produce and direct the pilot for Things a Man Should Never Do Past 30. The project will be written by David Katz, Esquire Magazine’s contributing editor, and A.J. Jacobs, Esquire’s editor-at-large, based off Katz’s book of the same name. The book features such items as, “See any movie with elves, mutants, Wookiees or other nonhuman characters on opening night”; “Figure out which dirty words are spelled by phone number”; “High five in a business situation”; “Have any furniture that involves cinder blocks”; and “Google ex-girlfriends....
