The acclaimed comedy Bros has gotten its Peacock premiere date. The NBCUniversal-backed streamer has announced that the film will start streaming exclusively on Peacock on Dec. 2, 2022. Bros is touted as the latest movies to join Peacock’s growing library of available movies to stream, having recently offered other big-name releases like Nope, Beast, Jurassic World Dominion, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Halloween Ends, Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul, Vengeance, and Brian and Charles....

Some new images offer another look at Letitia Wright as Shuri and the debut of Tenoch Huerta as Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Released courtesy of Empire, the new look at the latter comes courtesy of their latest cover, which finds Namor standing alongside Ramonda (Angela Bassett), T’Challa’s mother, and Shuri (Letitia Wright), the princess of Wakanda who is expected to take over the mantle of Black Panther in the upcoming sequel....

It sounds like the upcoming Marvel reboot of Blade is now back on track, with reports revealing that the project will be much darker than anything else in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Blade is now set to be helmed by Lovecraft Country and White Boy Rick director Yann Demange and will be penned by When They See Us writer Michael Starrbury, with the intention to create something far gloomier and more horrific than the rest of the hugely popular franchise....

HBO today announced the next major phase in the For The Throne global marketing campaign, which asks fans what they would do for the throne in celebration of the final season of the hit series, Game of Thrones, premiering April 14, 2019. In partnership with the American Red Cross, HBO is inviting fans to prove their devotion and Bleed For The Throne - a gesture worthy of one of the biggest shows in television, and one designed to harness the cultural power of Westeros to help end blood shortages in the real world....

A trailer just dropped for Book Club 2: The Next Chapter, a sequel to the successful 2018 film Book Club is set to be released next year. The original Book Club centered on four older women (played by Hollywood legends Diane Keaton, Jane Fonda, Mary Steenburgen, and Candice Bergen) who have all attended a weekly book club together for 40 years....

The CW recently announced that they have found their Batwoman in the form of Ruby Rose. The Orange is the New Black star will portray DC Comics character Kate Kane on the small screen, starting with this year’s big Arrowverse crossover event, which will hopefully lead to the character getting her very own series. Now, thanks to noted artist BossLogic, we have an idea of what that might look like. And it’s pretty awesome....

WEEKEND BOX OFFICE It was another winning weekend for the movie industry with box office receipts up an estimated 34% from this time last year making everyone hope the 2011 slump is over. Rain in much of the country no doubt helped encourage moviegoers to buy a ticket and stay indoors. You can’t keep a good bird down evidently. Rio was the champ for the second weekend running. It’s $26.5 million haul was enough to beat out Madea’s Big Happy Family that opened to a robust $26 million....

Bridesmaids was one of the biggest box office success stories of 2011, grossing $288 million worldwide from just a $32 million budget. Naturally, Universal PIctures wants to move forward with a sequel. Though, they may have to do it without Kristen Wiig. Actor Jon Hamm revealed in September that Kristen Wiig does not want to do a sequel to Bridesmaids, and nothing has changed since then. Here’s what the actress had to say, revealing she is working on another project with her Bridesmaids co-writer Annie Mumolo....

It has been quite some time since we’ve heard any news on a sequel to the 2003 cult classic film Bubba Ho-Tep and now one of the stars of the sequel has talked a bit more about the film. Pirate Master, the next epic adventure reality series from Emmy Award-winning producer Mark Burnett, will premiere Thursday, May 31 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Pirate Master will send 16 modern-day pirates on a high seas adventure where they will live as buccaneers and travel around the Caribbean island of Dominica in search of hidden treasure that will total $1 million. Over the course of 33 days, these pirates will live aboard a massive 179 foot, square-rigged barque which carries 12,500 square feet of sail....

In an effort to tap into the rich fantasy genre that is thriving on TV these days, CBS has issued a pilot script order for a reboot of Aaron Spelling’s Charmed. Party of Five creator Christopher Keyser and partner Sydney Sidner are co-writing the pilot script, which is being described as a re-imagining of the original series. Alyssa Milano, Holly Marie Combs and Rose McGowan starred in Charmed as three sisters dubbed The Charmed Ones, who use their supernatural powers for good to fight off evil witches....

Nominations have been announced for the 42nd Annual Academy of Country Music Awards. The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) today announced summer 2011 box office reached a new record of $4.4 billion. Summer admissions were up an estimated 1.0% over summer 2010 to 546 million. 2011 also marked the fifth consecutive summer in which box office revenues exceeded $4 billion. (Summer is defined as running from the first full weekend in May through Labor Day of each year.) NATO president and CEO John Fithian stated, “In the midst of 9% unemployment and a continuing weak economy, it is striking that the movie theater industry can continue to grow revenues and admissions....

Now that we’re in the early 2020s, there have been a number of movie adaptations from books, comic books, and graphic novels. Book lovers often mention how the movies don’t particularly do the books justice, but are satisfied enough to see these stories come to life on-screen. One of the more recent successes with a book adaptation was Where the Crawdads Sing; many fans of the novel raved about how well the filmmakers got the plot right, as well as the casting....
